The Episode’s Emotional Heart Lay With Ogwi, Torn Apart When a Ritual Forced him to Face Mirr on a Sacrificial Block

Posted on September 8, 2025September 8, 2025 by RB

The Korean fantasy drama Twelve keeps raising the stakes, and episodes 5 and 6 delivered a gripping blend of action, heartbreak, and emotional revelations. As the story dives deeper into the lives of the zodiac angels, viewers are witnessing not just epic battles but also the fragile bonds of love and memory that define them.

Episode 5: Rituals, Flashbacks, and Heartache

Episode 5 opened with lighter moments—a flashback to a camping trip among the angels, where warmth and camaraderie briefly replaced the looming sense of doom. But the joy didn’t last long. A new wave of demons tested the angels’ limits, leaving Geum-soon weakened while Do-ni, empowered by a mystical tonic, unleashed fierce new powers in a heated fight.

Just when defeat seemed inevitable, Tae-san’s arrival saved the group, but the relief was short-lived. Sa-min struck back, capturing Mirr and overpowering Bang-wool. As the angels regrouped, Ma-rok took command, urging strategy over reckless revenge.

The episode’s emotional heart lay with Ogwi, torn apart when a ritual forced him to face Mirr on a sacrificial block. Their buried history was revealed—he had once been sealed away, while Mirr’s memories of him were erased. The weight of their past love, colliding with the demands of destiny, broke Ogwi, leaving Sa-min stronger than ever.

Episode 6: Resurrection, Betrayal, and Escape

The following episode plunged viewers deeper into chaos. Flashbacks revealed Mirr’s warnings about her dangerous bond with Ogwi, foreshadowing the choices ahead. In the present, Sa-min ambushed the angels, and Ogwi found Mirr unconscious on the ritual table. His rage exploded—he struck down Sa-min in a fiery battle and then turned against Ma-rok, blaming him for their suffering.

But Sa-min’s shocking resurrection forced Ogwi to make a choice: vengeance or love. Instead of finishing the fight, he carried Mirr away to safety, showing that his devotion to her outweighed his thirst for power or justice. It was a turning point for Ogwi’s character, painting him as both flawed and deeply human beneath his celestial role.
