Plot Summary: The K2
The story follows Kim Je-ha, a former mercenary soldier who becomes a fugitive after being framed for a murder he did not commit. Haunted by his past and seeking vengeance, he returns to South Korea, where fate connects him with powerful political figures.
Je-ha is recruited by Choi Yoo-jin, the sophisticated yet dangerous wife of a presidential candidate and the owner of a large security firm. She hires him as a bodyguard under the codename “K2”, offering him protection and power — but her real motives are far darker.
Soon, Je-ha is assigned to protect Go An-na, the hidden and illegitimate daughter of Yoo-jin’s husband, Jang Se-joon. An-na lives in isolation due to political secrets surrounding her existence.
As Je-ha becomes An-na’s protector, the two develop a quiet, tender connection that gradually turns into love. But their relationship puts them directly in the path of political conspiracies, manipulation, and revenge plots.
The series unfolds through betrayal, shifting power dynamics, emotional conflicts, and a fight for justice — all against the backdrop of Korean politics and corporate power.
