NCT DREAM’s Jeno and Jaemin Star in New Sports Drama “Wind Up” (2026)

NCT DREAM members Jeno and Jaemin are officially stepping into the spotlight as actors with their upcoming short-form sports drama Wind Up, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The newly revealed main poster has sparked major buzz online, offering a first look at the duo in their high school baseball uniforms and setting the tone for an emotional, youth-driven story about dreams, setbacks, and friendship.

Wind Up tells the story of Woojin, a once-promising ace pitcher who suddenly loses his ability to throw properly, threatening his future in baseball. His life takes a turn when Taehee, a transfer student, enters the scene and insists on becoming his manager. Through their unexpected partnership, the two students begin a journey of healing, growth, and rediscovering passion both on and off the field. The drama focuses not only on sports action but also on the emotional bond between two teenagers chasing their dreams despite fear and failure.

This project marks a significant milestone for both Jeno and Jaemin, who underwent months of baseball training to prepare for their roles. Filming wrapped up in October 2025, highlighting their dedication to portraying the characters authentically. Directed by Kim Sung-ho, the drama blends high school emotions with fast-paced sports storytelling, making it a perfect fit for the short-form format aimed at younger and global audiences.

Adding to the anticipation, Wind Up will premiere exclusively on the short-form content platform KITZ on January 16 at 6 p.m. KST. Veteran actor Lee Jong-hyuk also joins the cast, further raising expectations for strong performances and emotional depth. Fans have already begun sharing script photos, countdown posts, and supportive messages across social media, celebrating the duo’s acting challenge and their on-screen chemistry.

With its inspiring storyline, relatable characters, and the natural bond between Jeno and Jaemin, Wind Up is shaping up to be a heartfelt sports drama that showcases a new side of the NCT DREAM members. As 2026 begins, this series is already being seen as a meaningful start to their acting journey and a must-watch for fans of youth and coming-of-age dramas.
