ENA has officially confirmed that Lee Jae-wook and Shin Ye-eun will lead its upcoming 2026 romantic comedy drama Doctor Jonbeo (working title). The drama will bring together medical themes, heartfelt romance, and the unique backdrop of a mysterious island community.
Plot Overview: Doctor Jonbeo follows Do Ji-eui, a former university hospital plastic surgeon who takes on the role of a public health doctor. Assigned to Pyeongdo, a remote and somewhat infamous island, Do Ji-eui must navigate both the challenges of treating patients in isolation and the scars of his own past. Joining him is Yuk Ha-ri, a skilled nurse who leaves behind her city job to serve at the island’s health center. While outwardly cheerful and dedicated to her work, Ha-ri carries hidden secrets that may affect her new life in Pyeongdo. As the two adapt to their new surroundings, their professional and personal paths intertwine, leading to both tension and romance.
