The legendary K-pop project girl group I.O.I has officially begun the countdown to their long-awaited comeback by releasing retro-inspired concept photos for their upcoming mini album “I.O.I : LOOP.” The images feature soft blue-gray tones and nostalgic styling that highlight the members’ matured visuals while maintaining the youthful charm fans remember from their debut era.

Originally formed through the hit survival program Produce 101 in 2016, the group quickly became one of the most popular project girl groups in K-pop history. Their upcoming release marks their first new music in nearly nine years and celebrates the group’s 10th anniversary, making the reunion especially meaningful for longtime fans.

The comeback lineup includes Lim Nayoung, Kim Chung Ha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Kim Sohye, Jeon Somi, Choi Yoojung, and Kim Yeonjung. Each member appears in individual portrait shots styled with vintage outfits such as plaid ties, velvet pieces, puffed sleeves, and braided hairstyles, giving the concept a classy retro atmosphere.

“I.O.I : LOOP” will be released on May 19, with a pre-release single arriving earlier on May 4. The group will also celebrate their return with a concert tour beginning in Seoul on May 29, further marking their milestone anniversary and exciting fans who have waited years to see the members reunite on stage again.
