Plot summary

He Yan is born as the eldest daughter of the influential He family, but because her younger brother is too frail to inherit the family’s noble title, she is forced to hide her true identity and live as her brother. Wearing a mask and pretending to be a man, she enters the military and gradually proves herself through intelligence, determination, and extraordinary martial skills.

Her remarkable achievements earn her the prestigious title of General Feihong, making her one of the empire’s most respected military leaders. However, her triumph is short-lived. When her biological brother returns, the He family cruelly betrays her, steals her accomplishments, and leaves her to die so they can preserve their family’s reputation.

Miraculously surviving, He Yan refuses to surrender. Determined to reclaim everything she has lost, she once again disguises herself as a man—this time under her real name—and joins the military from the very bottom. Along the way, she reunites with the brilliant General Xiao Jue, whose sharp instincts make him suspicious of her identity. As they face deadly enemies, court conspiracies, and dangerous military campaigns together, their relationship gradually transforms from distrust into deep admiration and love.

Filled with emotional twists, powerful friendships, family betrayal, and thrilling battles, the story celebrates resilience, justice, and the strength of a woman determined to write her own destiny.
