Plot Summary

Waiting for Longitude follows Lee Gyeong-do, a quiet and thoughtful newspaper reporter whose stable life changes when he unexpectedly crosses paths with Seo Ji-woo, the woman who once meant everything to him. Years ago, Gyeong-do and Ji-woo shared a deep, youthful love, but their relationship ended abruptly due to painful misunderstandings, personal insecurities, and a family crisis that Ji-woo kept hidden.

Now adults with different lives, the two meet again under circumstances neither planned. Their reunion stirs up unresolved emotions—love, guilt, regret, and longing. As they begin to reconnect, the series moves between the past and present, revealing the tenderness of their early romance and the heartbreak that forced them apart.

Gyeong-do must confront the truth behind their breakup, while Ji-woo faces the consequences of choices she made to protect those she loved. Surrounded by supportive friends, complicated family dynamics, and the pressures of work, the pair slowly rediscover what they meant to each other.

Rather than relying on dramatic twists, the drama focuses on intimate conversations, emotional healing, and the question at the heart of the story: Can two people who drifted apart find their way back when the timing is finally right?
